DATES Match Game

1 September 3, 1783			A Virginia ratifies the Bill of Rights, and 10 of the 12 proposed amendments become part of the U.S. Constitution.
2 January 14, 1784			B All 12 state delegations approve the Constitution, 39 delegates sign it of the 42 present, and the Convention formally adjourns.
3 May 25, 1787			C Delaware is the first state to ratify the Constitution.
4 September 17, 1787			D George Washington is elected the first President of the United States under the Constitution with 69 electoral votes. John Adams is elected Vice President with 34 votes.
5 December 7, 1787			E Rhode Island is the last state of the original Colonies to ratify the Constitution.
6 April 6, 1789			F United States and Great Britain sign the Treaty of Paris
7 May 29, 1790			G The Constitutional Convention opens with a quorum of seven states in Philadelphia to discuss revising the Articles of Confederation
8 December 15, 1791			H The official end of the Revolutionary War takes place when Congress ratifies the Treaty of Paris.
